Legend Cleaner

I thought that this cookware cleaner did a good job of scrubbing my stainless steel pans. It wasn't the best, but it did a good job. I wet the pan and sprinkled a little bit on it, and then took some steel wool to scrub the pans. It got rid of mostly all of the stains. I did the same with the bottom of the pan, but it did not remove all of the flame stains on the back. It didn't scratch anything, which I was very pleased with, and it was easy to use. This is a good every day cleaner if you need one, but you might need something stronger if you really need to deep clean.

I used this on my stainless steel pans and sink and it did a pretty good job getting rid of stains and bringing back some shine. It was easy to use. I just wet the surface, sprinkled some on, scrubbed it and rinsed it off.

It worked best on lighter stains and discoloration. Some of the really dark burnt spots still needed alot more scrubbing and didnt completely come off.

The container is better than the cardboard type cleaners because it closes tight and keeps the powder from getting wet or clumpy. I do think the price is a little high for what it is though, especially since there are cheaper cleaners that work pretty similar.

Overall it works good and I like the container, but I probably wouldnt pay full price for it again.

I tried using this powder on barbecue grill grates that are made out of stainless steel, to try and give the a renewed shine as they were getting a little brownish looking. It did not work nearly as good as I was hoping it would but it was much harder to apply given that the grates were rounded instead of flat. When I used it on the heat dispersing panels, which were flatter, the results were amazing. I then tried it on my kitchen sink which worked out much better, giving it is a larger and flatter area with less curves. I would compare this very closely to Bar Keepers best friend powder which is kind of like a comet in that it's more of a stain remover and polish as opposed to a cleaner in itself. I really appreciated that the jar lid had two sides, one that you could sprinkle and the other was a pour depending on how much product you wanted to use at any point in time. Do not inhale the powder it says all over it that it is highly toxic so be mindful of your breathing when you are dispensing it. The bottle did seal up nice and tight so I really have very little worry about moisture getting into the bottle and ruining the product. I can see this working really well on stainless steel cookware, baking pans or even brownie sheets. Instantly renews surfaces to their original shine with decent effort.

If you're dealing with years of discoloration, dull metal, or baked-on grease on your pots and pans, this Legend Cookware Stainless Steel Powder Cleaner definitely works. It functions essentially like Bar Keepers Friend on steroids—polishing away tough stains and instantly restoring an impressive, like-new shine with flatter surfaces like sheet pans, heat dispersing panels, and kitchen sinks.

When it comes to compatibility with metal cookware, this formula is highly specialized for stainless steel and aluminum pots and pans. It works beautifully on both brushed and polished metal exteriors, cutting right through stubborn grease without leaving noticeable scratches behind. However, you do have to be selective with your pantry—it is explicitly not safe for use on hard-anodized aluminum, copper, or nonstick coated cookware, as the abrasive nature will ruin those surfaces.

When it comes to ease of use, it's a very straightforward process: just wet the surface, sprinkle the white powder, and scrub with a normal sponge. It cuts through grime incredibly fast without leaving noticeable scratches. The packaging quality is also a massive upgrade over cheaper brands. It features a waterproof plastic bottle with a press-close flip top (one side for sprinkling, one for pouring) that seals out humidity. This completely prevents the powder from caking or clumping over time on your shelf.

However, the value for money is where it falls short. It is double the price per ounce of existing, established stainless steel powder cleaners on the market. While it performs great, it's hard to argue that the results are twice as good as Bar Keepers Friend, making it tough to justify the extra cost for everyday use. Additionally, you need to be careful when applying it; the powder although gentle on pans, is incredibly fine, highly toxic to inhale, and has a harsh scent when mixed with wet metal, so you'll want to keep your face back or wear a mask while dispensing it.

Reviewing a cleaning product isn't the most glamorous gig, but I have a stainless steel kitchen sink that was giving me some grief.
That grief is now over. What a fantastic, effective product — and it did not damage my brushed stainless faucet or anything else attached to the sink. Completely gentle. The price is fair for what it does and how far a little goes. This powder cleaner really made my sink shine.
I'm not aware of any other surface I'd attempt to use this on — I doubt it's compatible with a lot of common kitchen materials and could cause damage. That said, I did try a little on my HexClad pans (only the bottom of the pans, not used on the non-stick surfaces), and it shined them up nicely too, since they'd started to show some discoloration after years of use.
The ingredients list is substantial — be safe and follow the safety listings on the bottle. Made in the USA is a great bonus for me; I love supporting American companies. No dyes, perfumes, alcohol, or ammonia.
I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who's tried everything else — this might be the one that finally outperforms the rest. Happy cleaning.
