If you’re getting into the Keto diet and looking for quick and simple recipes to mix out, then this complete guide is for you.

In this article, I gathered from 25+ TOP Keto Experts and asked them the same question: “What's your #1 easy keto recipe for beginners?”

Let me tell you, the responses I received are nothing short of MOUTH WATERING and will simplify your meal plan without guess works.

Ready? Then dive in…

1. Olive Oil Dressing:

Beth Zupec-Kania (Consultant to The Charlie Foundation)

Tahini Dressing

One of my keto “hacks” to boost the fat content of a meal is making an olive oil dressing that I can pour over salads, cooked or raw vegetables as well as cooked meat, fish and poultry is the following:

  • 3/4 cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon Dijon mustard.
The mustard acts as an emulsifier and keeps the oil and vinegar from separating plus gives an added kick to the dressing.

Or you can use this similar recipe here.

    2. Encompassing Meat, Veggie and Sauce:

    Tammi from Keto Chaos

    chicken breast keto

I am all about convenience when it comes to keto.

I also prefer to focus on protein.

My go to meals usually encompass a meat, a veggie and a sauce.

For example, sautéed chicken breast strips seasoned with knorr bullion powder on top of steamed broccoli with bottled Alfredo, mozzarella cheese and tomatoes.

    3. Low Carb Taco Salad:

Michael McKnight from The Low-Carb Runner

    Low Carb Taco Salad

    • Epic Pork Rinds
    • Extra Sharp Cheddar (or cheese(s) of choice)
    • Olives
    • Jalepenos
    • Sour Cream
    • Guac
    • Salsa (or toppings of choice)
    • Siete Hot Taco Seasoning

    How to make:

    • Put Ground Beef in Air Frier and add Siete Seasoning
    • Air Fry Ground Beef to desired temp (usually takes 20 minutes)
    • Add Beef to Pork Rinds, and cover with desired toppings.

    4. Pepperoni and Cheese Crisps:

Laura Miner from Cook At Home Mom

    Pepperoni and Cheese Crisps

Pepperoni and Cheese crisps are the ultimate Keto-friendly snack or appetizer!

    5. Keto Pasta:

Megan Ellam from Mad Creations Hub

    Keto pasta

I find a lot of keto beginners struggle with giving up the basics, bread, pasta, and rice.

That is why we spend a lot of time testing and creating what we believe are recipes that easy to prepare and are a great substitute for the basics.

This keto pasta is an easy low carb alternative to traditional pasta noodles!

Made with just 4 ingredients, this pasta perfect with all your favourite sauce recipes.

At just 2g net carbs per serving and ready in under 20 minutes it is easy to make and freezes well.

    Keto Tortillas

    Keto Tortillas

If you already have a "pasta" answer then my equal number one is Keto Tortillas.

I love making my own because I know exactly what goes into them.

They are under 1g net carb and so easy to make.

I make them in bulk in various sizes for easy wraps for sandwiches, tortillas, tortilla chips, or a simple pizza base.

    6. Sugar-free Marzipan:

    Marta from Foodaciously

    Sugar-Free Mexican Marzipan

Mexican marzipan, also known as mazapán in Spanish, it's a confection that consists of peanuts and white sugar.

It's sweet, nutty, and slightly crumbly.

It's similar to almond marzipan but contains toasted peanuts instead of almonds.

    The best part?

You can enjoy this nutty candy without loading up on extra sugars. And it's ready in just 10 minutes!

Of those, some that we think are quite unique, tasty, and fun are:

These are all easy, but at the same time, they are not your typical run-of-the-mill recipe (except for the burrito :) ).

So great for folks who like to try new things.

    7. Juicy Ribeye on The Blackstone Griddle:

    Lara Clevenger from Laraclevenger.com

    Juicy Air Fryer Ribeye Steak

Honestly I’d say a grass-fed ribeye. It’s packed full of protein, healthy fat, and fat soluble vitamins.

You can cook it on a grill, on a blackstone, a cast iron skillet or even in an air fryer.

Then pair it with a low carb veggie, or add some butter if you’re carnivore.

    8. Keto-Friendly Burrito Bowl:

    Opwyn Dalton from Fitness Unicorn

    Keto-Friendly Burrito Bowl

I would like to share one of my favorite quick keto lunch recipes, because no one has time for lengthy and complicated meals in the middle of the day!

I call it the Keto-Friendly Burrito Bowl.

It has similar ingredients to a burrito but without the tortilla.

Plus, it’s easily customizable and can be prepared in 15-20 minutes.

    Ingredients:

    • 1 lb Steak (any cut of your choice)

    2. Take the other 1 tbsp oil and put it in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it’s glistening.
    3. Now add the steak in a single layer and cook for a couple of minutes until brown on both sides.

    11. Caldeirada de Peixe:

    Craig Fear from Fearless Eating

    Caldeirada de Peixe

Caldeirada de Peixe, a traditional Portuguese fish stew, is an iconic Portuguese dish.

It’s a classic fisherman’s stew, made with the catch of the day, fresh vegetables, and classic Portuguese spices.

Like any great native seafood stew, recipes (and opinions) vary from region to region, town to town, family to family.

    12. Keto Swedish Meatballs:

    14. Low-Carb Kale Sausage Soup:

Laura Lynch from Delightfully Low Carb

    Low Carb Kale Sausage Soup

    16. Paleo Mushroom Chicken:

Ingrid DeHart from Eat Well Enjoy Life

Paleo Mushroom Chicken (Dairy Free, AIP, Keto)

Are you looking for an easy, nutritious dinner for tonight?

This Paleo Mushroom Chicken dish is incredibly tasty and can be made in under 30 minutes.

Juicy chicken breasts are sautéed in one pan with tender mushrooms and a savory umami sauce.

The ingredients for this dish are simple and can be found in your supermarket.

The sauce is made with cremini mushrooms but white button mushrooms would taste good too!

    Even more:

Since there is NO COCONUT OR CREAM IN THIS SAUCE, the rich umami flavor of the mushrooms shines through.

Serve with cauliflower rice, spaghetti squash or zucchini 'noodles'.

It has a little arrowroot but only 13 grams of carbs.

    17. Keto Salad with Bacon and Eggs:

Tiffany Joy Yamut from Ketogenic Buddies

Keto Salad with Bacon and Eggs

For total beginners, the easiest recipe I'd recommend is natural bacon (no additives and GMO ingredients) and scrambled eggs with sauteed broccoli on the side!

This recipe provides all the healthy fats and protein keto dieters need, plus fiber and just a small number of carbs.

Also, you can save the bacon grease for frying other keto foods later on.

    18. Taco Trio:

Jen Fisch from The Keto In The City

    Taco Trio

Who doesn’t love Taco Tuesday or really tacos any day of the week?

Cheese shells make keto-friendly tacos super fun and easy.

It’s super quick to prep all of the ingredients and then my daughter Kaia and I have so much fun constructing our tacos.

We both like our tacos a little different so I prep a variety of fillings and toppings for us to choose from.

    19. Low-Carb & Paleo Tortilla:

    22. Keto Farmers Bread with Fiber:

    Zuzana from Lowcarb-Nocarb

    Keto Farmers Bread with Fiber

Once you start transitioning into the Keto lifestyle, the most important recipe is, I believe, bread.

People tend to look for something they have been used to enjoying, but as a Keto alternative.

As bread is on a daily table for most, I would suggest our Keto farmers bread, which is as close as you can get to in terms of look, flavor, taste and whole aroma.

If that sounds too complicated, keto buns made with yogurt are an excellent alternative.

    23. Raspberry Cheesecake Mousse:

    Isabelle McKenzie from IsabelleMckenzie.com

    Raspberry Cheesecake Mousse

Having a sweet tooth can make being on the keto diet very hard because not only is sugar an absolute no-go on keto but many fruits are difficult to squeeze into a day's tiny carb allotment.

This is exactly why I love this Raspberry Cheesecake Mousse recipe.

It has no added sugar, is 100% keto-friendly, and can be made in under 10 minutes.

It's so easy, all you have to do is whip the ingredients together.

So, you don't need any skill in the kitchen and can enjoy this raspberry mousse whenever you have a sweet craving.

It’s so light and fluffy, it’s like scooping clouds, yet it's still satisfying without being rich or overwhelming, and it's got a sweet yet tartness that is totally delicious.

I just can’t get enough of this keto raspberry mousse.

    24. Italian Alfredo Sauce:

    2. Then add garlic, cook for 60 seconds. Add cheese and whisk until melted. Add salt and pepper, to taste.

    That's it!

We like this sauce over our low-carb noodles, but feel free to enjoy it with chicken, meatballs, even on pizza like our alfredo pizza primavera!

Just like nonna used to make!

    Bhawana Kumar from FitMealIdeas

Roasted Asparagus With Pico De Gallo

Air-fried asparagus is healthy and takes just 10-15 minutes depending on how much brown color you like them to have.

Moreover being oil-free saves some extra calories coming from oil.

Topping it with garlicky and lemony pico de gallo makes them juicy and full of Mexican flavors.

    34. Spicy Chicken Low Carb Keto Shirataki Ramen Noodles:

Gennifer Rose from Gennifer Rose Blog

Spicy Chicken Low Carb Keto Shirataki Ramen Noodles
For some, the challenge with going into a full keto diet is giving up favorite carb heavy foods like pastas.

Enter the miracle shirataki ramen noodles, a very low carb substitute to the favorite "junk food" quick ramen packets.

You can indulge all you'd like with these noodles because an entire packet only has 9 net grams of carbs, and offers 4 grams of fiber.

These noodles have a very mild flavor on their own, and will take on the flavor of any seasonings you add to the pot.

My recipe is simple to make with common ingredients found in your refrigerator and pantry.

The shredded chicken provides protein and the jalapenos add a zesty kick.

The recipe yields a large bowl of ramen soup that will leave you full and satisfied.

    35. Pan Roasted Asparagus, Avocado, Mushrooms and Egg Over Easy:

    Zuzka Light from Zuzkalight.com

Pan Roasted Asparagus, Avocado, Mushrooms and Egg Over Easy
I love this recipe for it’s simplicity and healing properties.

It's a highly nutritious "clean Keto” meal, and perfect for beginners.

You’re getting not only high amounts of healthy fats and cholesterol which supports the production of vitamin D and all the important adrenal hormones.

You’re also getting benefits in terms of your gut health.

It’s been already shown that Keto diet acts rather fast in decreasing gut inflammation, which is incredibly important for healing.

However, we also have to be mindful about feeding our gut microbiota to preserve it’s diversity.

Mushrooms, and Asparagus are both rich in prebiotic fiber which feeds the good bacteria in your gut, that protect you from viruses and pathogens.

Avocado is a staple of clean Keto diet and contains high levels of potassium, magnesium, omega 3 fatty acids and vitamins C, K, and E. Both mushrooms and avocados are also an excellent brain food.

    40. Nori Salmon Roll Ups:

    Ali Miller NN from NaturallyNourishedrd.com

    Nori Salmon Roll Ups

    FOOD AS MEDICINE:

These Nori Salmon Roll Ups are a fun sushi-like delivery of synergistic ingredients that support neurotransmitter balance, brain health and mood and would make a great addition to you or your child’s lunch to aid in concentration and focus throughout the day.

Nori provides tyrosine, an amino acid that helps to aid in dopamine production.

Dopamine is often depleted under high stress and when low can be a source of cravings or looking to “fill the void” when we mindlessly open the fridge after a long day.

WIld caught salmon is a good source of tryptophan which aids in serotonin production, supporting balanced mood, sleep and reducing anxiety and depression.

Adding avocado oil mayo and slices of avocado provide a grounding source of brain-boosting fat and aid in reducing blood sugar fluctuations to keep energy stable throughout the day.

    INGREDIENTS:

    • 4 sheets nori
    • 1 can wild caught salmon
    • 2 Tbsp avocado oil based mayo
    • 1 stalk of celery, chopped
    • 2 Tbsp diced red onion
    • ½ tsp salt
    • ½ tsp black pepper
    • 1 tsp dried dill
    • 1 avocado, sliced

Note: if bringing for a lunch or not eating right away, dip the avocado slices in lemon juice to prevent browning!

    HOW TO MAKE:

    • In a medium bowl, mash the canned salmon with the avocado oil mayo, celery, onion, salt and pepper and dried dill with a fork until salmon is broken up and ingredients are well distributed.
    • Lay a sheet of nori on a flat surface and scoop about 1/4 of the salmon mixture over the nori and spread with the back of a spoon over the bottom 3/4 of nori sheet.
    • Layer with 1/4 of the sliced avocado.
    • Roll up horizontally and if needed seal the edge by dipping fingers in a bit of water. Slice and serve.

    Makes 4 servings:

Nutrition per serving: 168 Calories, 12g Fat, 4g Carbs, 2g fiber, 13g Protein
